I found a lot of joy in this book. A sweet, cosy romance where world famous pop star (who I’m convinced is based on Taylor Swift) goes to a small town in Kentucky to take a break. Cue handsome pie shop owner and his loveable relatives. The banter was fast and fun, and the chemisstry between Amelia and Noah was believable. For a closed-door romance, though, there was a lot of thinking about sex! But on the whole this was sweet, fun and uplifting. Yes, it was predictable and yes a little unbelievable: Would the whole town really keep Amelia’s presence secret? And what wa she doing all day while Noah was at work? But I didn’t care that much about these things – it was nice to get carried along by a lighthearted story.
An Awkward Thing
So, this is awkward, but I do need to pay my bills. Writing is my day job. I want to keep my posts free so that as many people as possible can benefit from them, especially all my writing advice. But, free posts won’t keep my kids in school shoes. So, if you’ve found this post enjoyable or helpful, would you consider buying me a coffee, or taking a look at my editing and critique services? Thanks!
